One week's gone just like THAT. Came back from NTU, break for the weekend... Need to come back on Monday. Spent the entire week in Nanyang Technological University. Hostel life not that bad... Lets see what happened for the past week.
[Mon]Arrived at school at 8. Met Mr Wu and Dr. Yeo, Micheal's father.. Also ex-montfortian.. He's the reason why this whole attachment could happen at the first place. Paid farewell to Mr. Wu and the school. Dr. Yeo offered us a lift there, arrived there roughly an hour later. Been to NTU before, sec 1 I think... Went to watch some JC band performance, some of our ex-members performing.. If i remembered, the place was huge.. But that was at night, could get the exact proportions.. We arrived at the North Spine, I think just the North Spine is bigger than our school.. Waited for the other schools at the general office... Nanyang Girls, SJI, River Valley, Chinese High and us... Went to the meeting room for a briefing... Prof David Butler told us somethings about what they are doing at the School of Mechanical and Production Engineering... One of the many schools in the university... Guess what, out of the 6 choices we were given, I was the only one who put Fuel Cells as my first choice... So paired up with this SJI guy, Sean Lee... Was hoping to be grouped with at least one gal... Lucky Elwin, altough there are only 3 members, he grouped with 2 other gals.. One from Nanyang and the other from River Valley... They doing Human Factors... After that, we walked down the the hostels.. Entire NTU build on hills.. So lotsa steps and climbs... So we check in to our rooms, 2 to a room. Shared the room with Elwin... At first when I opened the room, it smelt damn musty.. Just need to air for a while... Not really like my own room.. At least my mattrews are clean.. Had to lay out the bed sheet and everything.. There's a stack of pillows and bedsheets, dunno whats that for.. Until one of the gals came knocking on our door... Had to distribute the bedsheets, pillows and everything to everyone else... Next door was Cliff's and Dave's, connected via the toilet.. So could easily pop in... After we had unpacked everything, went to Jurong Point for lunch.. Quite awhile since i last went there... Took 179 from the wrong stop, went an entire round round the campus before leaving... Had MOS burger, walked for a while.. Came back just in time, suppose to meet at 2... Then me and Sean met Prof Chan, one of our supervisors.. Went down to B2, where the fuel cells lab was.. He explained what a fuel cell was etc.. Made to read some notes.. Couldn't understand one bit.. Then went to a seminar, the guy showed us all these complicated formulaes and graphs.. More confused.. Probably not meant for us, but for the other professors... Dismissed from there, went back to the hostel to change.. Went back to JP to have dinner, decided not to have lunch there, the canteens were enough... Thats about the end of the day...
[Tues]Woke up well before the 8am alarm i set, was just lying there on the bed... Went to Canteen A to have breakfast, had chicken porridge... Thought was suppose to meet at 2pm so took my time.. Then went to the library to read up on fuel cells since i had nothing to do... Elwin's going there too, with his group... Grab a book to read, damn chiem... Somewhat understand, but all those technical stuff, at a complete lost.. Found out that the other 2 gals from Elwin's team were Bernadette and Wanwang... Funny names... David and Micheal, from my school, were there too... Spent the morning in the library, then had char siew rice for lunch.. Went back to the lab.. Sean wasn't there, so went in anyway.. Was told that we were suppose to come at 9.. Opps, some sort of communication break down.. Didn't do much to me, just asked me to read some E-Book while I wait for Sean... He came at 3.30... When he came, shown how to use the CorelDraw software for designing our fuel cell.. So spent the rest of the time there discussing.. At least made some progress... Then had dinner at JP, Long John Silver's... Then later went back, set up me clarinet, cliff wanted to play, so let him.. Couldn't produce a not, while i make it look so easy... Then Cliff brought his laptop, so went online after he had used it...
[Wed]Woke up about the same time, had a quick shower, wore long pants, OP shirt with a blue shirt draped over... Ate roti prata, quite spicy... Met sean at the lab, designed some more.. Had lunch early, then went back, around 2 we were told to stop... We had to go for the Robotics Research Centre tour... They have this cool robot there, controlled by PDA.. Cool, had the chance to play with it... Saw other robot stuff there, went for a short tea break, then continued work.. Were told that the Human Factors people need to test their keypad, so me and sean "volunteered".. Haha, just another excuse... Cliff arranged for a Movie later that night... Mainly us and the River Valley people going... Ate dinner at Canteen 1, much better, at least they had air-con... Watched The Chronicles Of Riddick, nice show, Riddick damn sleek, with his pearl looking eyes.. Vin Diesel... Came back quite late, 12, almost missed the bus... Cliff went for a jog round the campus to burn off his excess energy.. Crazy, midnight run... Asked me to time him... Anyway, fell asleep...

Day 2
Before going to Nan Chiau, went to compass point with mom and bro.. Went to eat lunch there.. Mom want me to cut hair before the performance.. But i said cut some other day, hair not that long.. Have to cut on sat... THATS TOMORROW! Bought a packet of sunflower seeds to grow.. Dunno why the sudden interest in plants.. Maybe its my curious nature? Most of the marigold seeds sprouted, looks very fragile.. Just a stringy stem and two tiny leaves.. Maybe its that i find plants interesting? From something so small, it contains all the information needed to build a plant.. Anyway, reported to school at 5.30 in full uniform..
Odd thing about that day was, we came in two buses, without instruments... Came back with one, with instruments... Think school not enough $$ to hire one more bus.. About the same thing as yesterday, but this time, with lot more waiting.. Cause we're only playing for the last item... Been coming here for 4 days and still dunno any gals numbers... Haiz... During that long wait, played mini-golf with clement on my hp.. Think i said most of what i need to say in the last post.. Came back quite late

Couldn't post during the last 2 days, some problem with the site... Anyway here's a recap..
First day of the N4 arts fest, arrived at Nan Chiau at about 6.. Greeted by their NPCC and NCC, councellors lead us to the holding room... Set up instruments but then told not to play as the event has started... Anyway Brian sent me and wen shao to collect some food.. Had to follow this gal, quite short, also quite cute.. haha... First time see wen shao speak so softly... Brought back the food and water, waited for our turn... quite a long wait really, we were the second last item of the first half... When it was time, we assembled outside the hall, marist stella chinese orchestra also there... Saw Andy and Yong Hong, pri 6 classmates... Andy playing the Er Hu while Yong Hong playing the Zhong Hu... Haven't seen them for a year.. Last time was when Sir, our pri 6 teacher, called us back to help him... Stayed over at Montfort Junior, its been upgraded since i graduated.. Back to the performance... The first piece, Centuria, was ok, only one part where the triangle was suppose to play and didn't... Second piece wasn't that well... Springtime, featuring trombone solo.. The rest of the band was ok, except the soloist's file kept dropping.. At least he was calm and picked it up...
There's still the second half, were we also need to perform... Waited in the holding room.. We were the last item so not much of the performers were still in the school.. We accompanied the cluster choir... Their attire very chio.. Our school chorale wore a black blazer over their white shirts, also had a tie... Kinda look like the Men In Black.. Haha.. Serangoon and Nan Chiau choirs wore dark blue and white gowns... Seems to me like silk, but i dunno, dare not touch... Our last item was mainly good.. Won a loud round of appluase from the audience... Either their just glad the whole thing was over, or we did a damn good job... Went back to the room, pack our stuff and we were dismissed... Caught up with another of my pri 6 classmate, Yik Kwang... He's also in band, their item was before us... Walked to the bustop with him.. Then this gal went past us, I think it was Yik Kwang's classmate or something, he said bye to her.. Cindy i think, I also said bye, for dunno what reason... Think saw her before... Anyway, it was a long night... Had a good night's rest for Day 2 of the arts fest...::

::Went to Nan Chiau again today, need to take our own transport there, almost late... Lucky my sense of direction is pretty good, got to the school on the dot... Practice with the combine choir, Mr Ng up to his antics... When some of the members not watching, he say,: Come on, look infront, watch the most gorgeous guy of your life... Wanna vomit... Then the coordinator teacher keep on barking orders to the nan chiau people, tell them move this here, move that there... Then also act cute, we need to come at 5.30, then say all the better, can see our handsome faces for more time... lame... Then walked to Compass Point with clement and saiful, saw some of the nan chiau gals along the way, also in the mall, dunno whether they recognize us... Still didn't get to know any gals... Would be better if had a combined band with them...

::Woke up at 6.30 today, prepare uniform for dress rehearsal at Nan Chaiu High School... Yik Kwang at that school, haven't seen him since Sir's Camp... Pri school classmate... Funny thing though, the upper secondary students at the school still wear short pants... maybe to be fair to the gals there? Anyway, a group of councellors, mostly gals, geeted at the their foyer area.. The school's nice, got a koi pond at the entrance followed by another pond further in... Moved into their school hall, airconditioned like us, other schools also there... When our turn to rehearse, percussionist still moving and chatting about.. Mr Ng blew, gave a dressing down infront of the peoples.. Then have a short break, only the snack store open, so not full... The second round of rehearsal was much better, got to practice fully, but Mr Ng still critizing gabriel's conducting... Still need to go back to the school tomorrow, so left the instruments there... Hope to spot Yik Kwang tomorrow...

::Went out today, to Parkway Parade... Dad had to go there to change some money, he's going to the middle east on the 10th, part of the RSAF... Packing his gear now as I type, issued some desert uniform, tan coloured, boots and all... Going for 6 weeks, so gotta walk to school from now on... Kinda proud of his work though, although his not a pilot or anything.. Ground crew, technician, fix the aircrafts and equipment.. So if any fighter planes suddenly fall from the sky, know who to blame... He's playing an important role in keeping our country safe, and proud of him for this... But kinda sad though, he can't attend M7.. Also ironic, he attend last year, mom couldn't, then this year reverse...
Anyway, got this sudden idea, wanted to grow some plants. Maybe seeing my brother's bean plant grow so tall I got the idea.. Bought 2 small pots, some flower seeds.. Later in the evening, went out with grandparents to dinner.. Crystal Jade Toa Payoh, especially like the beef, one of my favourite meats... Then bought some origami paper, planning to fold 1000 cranes (thats not "some" isn't it?) I expect to complete it in a few months, painstakingly slow though...

::One week has passed since school closed... Got a theory though, time slows down when your in school and speeds up when your not.. Simple enough? Band practice again... Practically everyday huh? Had to design the Montfiesta 7 booklet, then had main band practice.. Need lotsa improvements, and running out of time... Sec 1 joining us in Voodoo, need to bring torchlight, expect lotsa fun... Then accompany Thomas go hougang mall buy his gundam stuff, never really watch that show though... Come home, cousins already here.. (family history: grandparents have 5 children, all gals except my father, then cousins mostly guys, me being the oldest... 3 small girls, 1 older one, 4 young kids, and last one being one year younger) Play xbox with em', me and me brother team up, his and his brother, had fun... Stayed till 3+

::This morning went to Ngee Ann Poly for some biotechnological course... Had to wake up @ 6, but caught some shut-eye on the bus.. No idea it was at clementi, some distance away from Hougang... Anyway, the campus looks quite old, but theres lotsa greenry, unlike Nanyang Poly... The School of Life Sciences on the 7th floor.. There were about 20 of us, all from my school except two girls from North View.. First part was some presentation on biological weapons used by terrorist.. Anthrax etc.. But, as the lecturer said, even though anthrax is deadly, it doesn't spread efficiently... But is easily obtainable.. Then did some practical work.. Paired up with Lian Jie, had to centrifuge E. Coli bacteria, add buffer, spin spin, extract dna.. Kinda cool.. The bacteria kinda smelly, smells like dental plaque, even looks like it... Then had to test it and stuff..
When arrived back in school, its already 12.30, went for 30mins of band... Collect some scores, thats all.. Then come home eat, sleep, then here... Time really flies, before you know it the holiday are gone...

::Band practice again today, woke up late... Bout 9.15, practice starts at 9... lucky Mr Ng not there... haha... Had combine choir practice... Our school choir, Nan Chiau and Serangoon Sec... Too bad no combine band.. Anyway, we accompanied the choir for two pieces... Was it just me or they seemed abit shy? Need to keep me mouth shut, rehearsing bowing that time me said :"good morning, teacher"... made them all laugh... :( At least they don't know my name... After that, me and clement went to compass point, saw some nan chiau gals there, don't know whether they are the choir people.. can't remember the faces.. Bought Rallisport Challenge 2 (enough of games!)

::Boring day... Stayed at home all day long, wanted to complete some homework but idled around instead... Procrastination settling in... Played Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow on my xbox... Now have to infiltrate a tv station to caputure Sadano(bad guy)... Damn cool, sneak around, don't get caught, gots lotsa cool gadgets to play with. Like the sticky camera, shoot on a wall, see around the corner... Ha, but still get caught... Then on with more games... Went to neighbour, Po Kiat's house, played Command & Conquer: Generals... Dinner, watch TV, then here I am...

::This is my first post, so just trying things out... Actually I'm not very comfortable publishing my life on the web, but I'll try my best to be honest... Haha...
Well, today went for band practice. Haven't had one since the exams started. Practiced with the choir, When You Believe, Andrew Lloyd Webber collection and Summertime, sound awfully like some voodoo chant. Haha.. At the end of the day was the Drum Major selections, had to shout out various commands.. Started raining toward 5, so had to use the band room.. Screwed up, forgot some of the commands...
