::just back-tracking here.. didn't have time to update for M9, have some time now, so I'll just fill in here..
went for my sec sch concert, Montfiesta 9.. literally bumped into Addison on my way there at Hougang MRT.. with his mass, there was a big change in momentum to say the least.. then on the train there, met Jia Qing, Jason Chia and Jan.. hiaz, but they weren't going for M9.. so much for being loyal..
then met Clement at City Hall there, he was gonna meet his gf or something.. went to buy some bread from breadtalk before he headed his own way.. met my ex-classmates and bandmates there.. bought myself the circle seat, tried to persuade them to sit with me but they didn't want to part with another $5.. :(
anyway, the main reason I got the circle seat is because of the view.. brought my cams there to cover the concert at least.. though not the before and after..


the band's slightly smaller in size after our batch left.. some sections also deficient in players like the trumpets, so Saiful, Wilson and Tong How had to step in.. would love to play as an alumni also, but the clarinet section was quite ok.. plus I'm not exactly free.. maybe next year.. after all it would be the Montfiesta's decennial..
but to tell you the truth.. don't really think the concert is worth it.. the band really needs some work in intonation.. even less musically inclined Lian Jie also said so.. at least Jian Hao didn't rush for 2nd mvt of 1st Suite..
some of my NY bandmates also came, like Joanne, Yuxi and Chester.. quite suprised to find them there even though I didn't ask them to come.. on one hand, I'm glad they came even though I didn't ask them, on the other hand, slightly embarassed that the band didn't sound as good.. I mean, thats my band..
think the best was the ending.. got to sing the school song for another time.. probably every Montfortian in the audience would have felt some pride in his heart upon hearing our school song, played by our very own band..
anyway, the rest of the pics can be found on my band's website http://www.montfortband.org.. took some group pictures with the rest of the alumni there, so had to hand over my cam to one of the ava people there.. didn't turn out nicely.. he placed the cam too far from the ledge, so the light from the flash reflected off the ledge into the lens.. hiaz..
it was nice meeting up with old friends again.. brings back memories.. both good ones and not so good ones, but mainly good ones.. hopefully M10 would be better..::
