::Chinese New Year celebrations at school today... need to come to school 15 mins eariler.. 8.15.. Start earlier, end earlier.. went to the hall, me class sat at the gallery area there... some of the other sec 4 class were there... Had a MP for our guest... About the same as last year, Mr Simen goes with the MP, on the stage, open this book... Start the celebrations... This year's a little different..
The MP for Paris Ris (forgot his name...) launch the Tsunami Book.. a project by our school.. we had to write reflections on the diaster during the first few days of school... so there's now 5000 copies of my work... woohoo.. Poems, Prayers, Pictures were in there too.. Also a few entries in Mother Tongue... For those who got the book, read page 38.. For those who don't, ask me, I'll try to get a copy for ya.. $6 a copy, hoping to raise $30,000.. I know some of you are thinking, "Now what date, so late then give donations..." but the truth is, the diaster is still going on... rebuilding, reconstructing and repairing lives...
The celebrations went on a usual, the same new year songs... Uploaded some of the pics I took... Mr Lam, one of our chinese teachers sang.. wonder why he's still a teacher.. can be a singer, earn more money that way.. haha.. At the end of it all, the confetti shower.. those tube things, where you twist the end... basically its a giant party popper... we people up in the gallery didn't get it.. looks fun...
