::bought a Xaphoon today.. went to Yamaha Music Plaza.. heard about it from a web forum... didn't dare try it there.. too many people.. haha.. $130.. parents haven't bought me a birthday present, so this it...
tried it out in the car-ride home.. the embrosure not a problem.. think any experienced clarinettist or saxophone player should be able to play it with ease... althought it's small in size (about 30cm, your recorder size), it's big on sound.. sounds almost like a saxophone, with hints of a clarinet.. the fingerings different though.. some very weird.. reached home at about 7..
was getting the hang of it.. by 9 was playing some songs... Yesterday, My Heart Will Go On, Pink Panther.. from memory, got the first note of the song, then the rest just naturally flowed out.. ahah.. don't have perfect pitch though, just not tone deaf.. charmed by the sound of the xaphoon.. (pronounced za-foon by the way...)
