we're offically in the week leading to the Os already.. had Chinese today, then the onslaught begins next week.. Chinese was ok.. kinda the reverse of the midyears, think I'll do well for paper 1 and not so for paper 2.. I already passed, so all that matters now is how high I get.. but I'm definately not including it into my L1R5.. unless I somehow get B3 or better, which has 1/1000000 probability of happening..
then went with some of my classmates to Hougang Mall to eat.. then went to borrow some books..
hope I make full use of the 1 week..::

and so we ended our last offical school day.. today didn't seem any different from any other day, except it's the last time we would have lessons in Montfort.. can't believe 4 years in secondary school is up..
4 classrooms, 4 years.. Sec 1 was at the classroom next to the 3rd level toilet, convenient.. except for someone who pee-ed in his pants once.. Sec 2 was above the 3rd level toilet.. remembered one time when our teacher said that we were noisy and were disturbing the people below.. guess he forgot below us was a toilet? the people downstairs need to concentrate to aim.. haha.. Sec 3 was at another corner classroom, this time at the 3rd level, next to the walkway.. probably the fastest location to the hall.. wonder why they made E1 so isolated from the rest, until this year that is.. when we are smack in the middle of 4th story...
but it was only this year, with the home room system, did I get to know more people.. tried to sit with as many different people during the various classes.. well, next year, for many of us, would be a decade since we sat with someone from the opposite gender in a class..well, not really for me..

guess Addison can't go around attacking people like Alfred again.. think we would really change if we meet up next year.. you wouldn't know.. maybe you'll see Dave getting darker or JJ having a girlfriend.. meeting up after our first 3 months would be nice.. sometime in 2nd week of April? hint hint..
really don't know what the future holds for me.. being this close to the O levels, the defining event in any Singaporean's life.. except for NS maybe..
made a promise to myself that I'll do well whatever school I go to more than 4 years ago.. gotta stick to my promise...::

::another day at home.. woke up at about 8am today, its rare that I wake up so early on a weekend unless I had to go somewhere.. then spent the day reading the guide I bought on The Glass Menagarie.. then slept and woke up at about midnight..
its during the wee-hours of the morning that I'm most active.. mentally that is.. sort of a ritual reflection on my life.. playing on my piano, some random tunes.. just the light of the keys illuminating my hands.. and the moonlight on my score.. (well, not exactly.. its the light from the corridoor outside..)

just feel alittle underappreciated for the stuff I've done.. this whole week people have been asking me to print pics for them, burn them into a CD.. this week was one of the few moments that I actually felt wanted..
next weeks a very short week.. only 1 day of school.. mon and fri streaming and meet the parents day for sec 1-3, so we don't need to come to school.. then tues and thurs chem and physics practicals.. O levels coming so fast..::

::just finished sorting out the photos.. these past few days very busy.. had O level Bio pract on Tues.. not difficult or anything, nothing that we haven't learnt before.. but there's lotsa room for mistakes to occur if you are not careful.. really gotta brush up on Bio.. the weakest of my 3 sciences.. then it was a boring 4 hour quarrantine in the threaterette..
today no school so decided to go print the photos (pics to be politically correct.. a photo is only a photo when it is on paper..) asked Lian Jie to accompany me but he wasn't free after 1pm, so eventually met Jill after her science pract at Toa Payoh.. the shopkeeper was kinda suprised to see I was gonna print over 300 photos.. asked if I had the money to pay.. haha.. went to Mos Burger to eat, then accompanied Jill to meet her sis at Woodlands.. was her mom's birthday today or something..
went to the library to read some books.. spent about an hour there before heading to Funan.. bought the card sized print.. got back to Toa Payoh to collect the photos..

guess how many photos are there in the pic above?
erm.. was quite suprised when I collected the photos.. looked like 2 blocks to me.. this gotta be my biggest print since my trip to Adelaide 4 years back.. that was 200+ photos..::

::another tiring day.. woke up early to go to the JCs open house today.. couldn't find anyone who wanted to go with me so went by myself..
went to SAJC first, the campus kinda old, but they are moving to Potong Pasir next year.. so thats a plus point.. the band was good, they didn't get gold with honors for nothing..
thought I would meet with Bernadette at VJC, but she didn't have time to go there.. hmm, almost like a carnival atmosphere there.. the mass dance seemed fun.. wished I could join.. really hope I can get into VJC, but their cut off point abit high (or low in this case?) realistically, think I can get into SAJC, plus they're moving next year, nearer to my house.. really must do my best this Nov..
then met Jill at orchard after her ALW.. all the travelling made me tired.. she had to meet her mum first to get some vouchers, but ended up not using anything.. then went to taka to try peper lunch

the pepper rice was nice, though slightly on the expensive side.. then went to kinokuniya to browse.. found some interesting books.. fancy a book titled: "How to read a book" ? found the guide books to the 2 lit books.. I bought that and Jill bought a pack of tarot cards..::

::just came back from our Leaver's Ceremony.. kinda tired right now, so won't type too much.. well, 10 years in the chapter of my life is coming to an end.. time really seem to pass much faster when you are older..
gave Kelvin a lift to the Grassroots Club cause he just lives opposite, so why not.. there was quite alot of people when we arrive and we were still early.. guess nobody want to be late on such a occasion.. took some pics before the ceremony got started, Edi and Tim begged me to switch places cause they don't wanna sit with a certain person.. why can't they just get along just one day??
started with the Brother giving a prayer, with sentimental background music to accompany.. then a speech by our principal..

then Addison, being president and all, carried the banner with our fingerprints on stage.. oh yea, and a video screening.. Yu Bin carrying the triple science textbooks part was fun.. got a big round of applause, mostly from our class.. it was the speeches and presentation next.. Bryant and Dalton went up to give their speech.. recorded it down, but not on full quality as it was kinda long?
after all 7 classes gave their speeches and went up, it was reception time.. Addison got cake for Mr Low and the class but didn't really get to eat as so many people asked for their pictures to be taken.. think I took about 400+ pics, luckily Lian Jie lent me his 1GB card, finished mine halfway through.. not matter how much I tried, can't seem to drain the batteries?? Energizer does live up to its motto..
stayed back after everyone left to take more pics.. the only time I have taken so many pics was during my trip to Korea, and that was over a span of 5 days..

::had 3 hours of English, 4 considering there was one before recess.. everyone were doing there own stuff.. then some comotion was going on at the back.. to our surpise Mrs Pereira told them if they wanna play we would have a wrestling match.. so she calles up Yu Bin and announces him like those wrestling stars.. "In this corner, we have.." and Addison too.. was about the announce "weighing in at slightly more than.." when Addy protested.. haha. in the end the two end up attacking Alfred, dèja vu? guess not, something similar happened during Lam's birthday.. so after that few minutes of "entertainment" we got back to work..
then attended the free camera training at Canon's DMH (Digital Media Hub).. not that I had to, but wanted to make full use of the camera's capabilities by Friday.. think I was the youngest among the lot there? the rest were like adults.. was suprise to see a lady using the S2 IS also.. thought ladies would prefer more stylish cams like the Ixus series.. only 2 other gentlemen were using the A series, the rest were using the S2 IS.. nothing much I haven't known before.. maybe the software part was something new, haven't really explored that yet..

::went for CJC's Open house today... was meeting Daryl, Darren and Dave.. yar, but had to wait like 30 mins before we finally left cause Daryl was late? took a taxi there.. kinda forced by Daryl, if I had my own choice I would definitely take the bus.. cabs are boring, they are too direct? where's the fun in that? the journey, rather than the destination is more important for me..
found out how to CJC was by accident when I was on 153.. SJI was also close by.. anyway, it was still drizzling when we arrived there.. but that didn't seem to dampen their spirits, they still carried out their activities in the rain..
wandered around the campus with the 3 of them, was quite big but has a 1980s feeling to it.. the hall wasn't as big as ours though it also had air-con.. there was also a gymnastic showcase of some kind.. the flips and somersauts were cool..

they also had a cheerleading and hakka performance in the quadrangle.. too bad the others came late.. then met up with more of our other classmates there.. Firmin took us around the campus.. their council room was rather big and had a fingerprint scanner to open the door? David also had a go at lawn bowling.. objective was to roll the ball and hit another white ball some distance away.. sounds simple but really wasn't.. David came within centimetres of the white ball..

went to town after that.. the 3Ds had to go home early.. Timothy was whinning about not getting a mp3 player when Addy took out his.. boarded 132 to orchard..then suddenly realised that the 8 of us were wearing either black or white, if you consider gray black.. and we were sitting alternatingly between black and white?
Addy and Tim were meeting some other people, so they left.. saw Zhi Hong off to the MRT and we were down to 5.. and the black and whites were more naturally split now.. 2 black, 2 white and 1 gray.. what the.. do such natural patterns really exist?
then went to Cineleisure to catch Corspe Bride.. dunno whether it's intentional, but there was alot of puns in the movie.. go watch the movie yourself and find out..::

::oh man.. starting to feel the pinch of the O levels.. OK, I've learnt my lesson from prelims, abeit a hard one..
English - elicit points for summary, edit compo after writing..
Chinese - read more newspapers
A Maths/Maths - practice more
Physics - do not leave first 2 pages blank and find out later that I already know how to do..
Biology - brush up on content..
History - learn details and answer qns
Lit. - learn quotes and read the 2 unseen parts to see which is easier..
thats about it.. chem and social studies I quite ok.. have trouble learning history from a textbook though.. well, its boring.. think I would learn better if I watched some documentary or something..
but 1 problem I have is.. I like to procrastinate.. yar, I can write all these things down but find it hard to carry them out.. must really force myself to study during this month..

::just got my S2 IS today.. went to Cathay Photo @ Marina Square.. the salesman kinda look like my cousin's dad, the hair and all.. been eyeing the cam for some time, so grateful that my parents got it for me..
first thing you'll notice about the S2 IS is design, kinda looks like a dSLR (those professional cameras?) but isn't.. the 12x zoom's both quiet and fast..

thats optical zoom only mind you.. plus its 4x digital zoom, that makes a total of 48x zoom? the optical image stablizer was also effective, could see the difference when its on and off.. the best thing I like about the camera is the movie mode, VGA 30fps and the ability to use the zoom at the same time? what more could you ask for..
still learning how to use the camera, so many features and controls.. maybe revisit the botanical gardens for a shoot.. anyone wanna accompany me??::
