::2nd week of our "holidays".. went to play pool with Po Kiat yesterday.. my 2nd ever game.. (well 1st actually.. last thurs wasn't even a proper game..) taught me how to how and position the cue stick etc.. got the hang of it after a game or two.. tried my hand at a left hand shot and managed to score.. guess piano playing roughly equalises your both hands.. also managed to do a double shot.. beginner's luck I guess.. haha.. finally managed to win a game after 2 hours there.. the rest of the games I had 1 or 2 balls left on the table... still need to improve on my accuracy though..
then went to woodlands to pass Jill my camera for her prom night tonight.. the bus ride there was mind-numbing though.. wonder why I put Innova as my 3th choice... Jill was with her sister, Joey, shopping.. so they went off shopping again after I lent the cam..
travelled all the way to Woodlands just for that?? so me and my very lonesome went to the arcade upstairs to play.. just to get my mind off things.. then went to eat.. seemed like deja vu.. flashback to 2 years ago.. guess I've grown used to left out alone that sometimes I feel fine with myself.. but still, everytime I look over my shoulder, nobody's there..::

::just finished registering for PAE.. didn't quite think about what JC to go to for PAE until now.. the chalet was fun.. took quite alot of pics so its a picture intentsive post..

Wednesday
attended the PAE talk at the theatrette in the morning.. about slightly less than half the class went along with some E2s.. the rest were either overseas or not eligible.. hiaz.. with my prelim scores don't have much choice to go.. so in the end registered for CJC, SAJC, IJC, SRJC as my choices.. don't think can make it for SAJC but at least try.. think I'll go to either SAJC or VJC depending on my results.. probably SAJC..
then went to Compass Point to eat.. met Jason, Edison and Jia Qing.. apparently they were shopping.. went back to pack my stuff for the chalet.. brought along my Xbox to play, but lent one of my controllers to my cousin so had to borrow one from Joseph..
reached the chalet at about 4.. quite small compared to the group of people staying there.. played some games before eating dinner.. they were discussing about PAE upstairs and playing some cards.. some rough playing with Keck getting attacked with pillows..

hah.. poor Keck.. all this was done with the lights off so he didn't know what hit him.. lotsa dust was kicked up and I thought my lens was dirty.. could see the dust particles floating in the air when the flash fired..
they wrapped Henry's birthday after that.. his birthday coming up so David and gang chipped in to buy him this..

played cards and Xbox till late before actually sleeping.. only dozed up at 4am..

Thursday
woke up at 7 something.. neck was cramped from sleeping on the hard floor.. stretch alittle and it was ok.. had a hashbrown for breakfast while the others enjoyed their meals.. then it was back to cards and Xbox.. upstairs they were playing Truth or Dare while downstairs they were playing Top Spin.. Ming Wei had to confess whats the most romatic thing he did to a girl and Jason had to ahem *kiss* Jia Qing when he comes for his dare..
then went out to eat something before going to cycle..

had rained in the early morning so there were still some puddles left.. cycled through some water and found out why they invented mud guards.. stopped to take some pics together and rest..

then went into the maze together.. took turns to lead and eventually reached the centre and back.. after 1hr 30mins+ of cycling, sat down and had a rest.. Lam and Yu Bin were talking about their CI course..
went back to Costa Sands and returned out bikes.. Gerald, Ming Wei, Lian Jie and Keck were playing pool so watched them play for awhile..

had a chance to shoot some balls (that sounds really wrong...) had never played pool, real life pool at least, in my life.. so was quite good that I pocketed a ball in my first ever shot.. then went to swim.. last time I went swimming was in Sec 2, so skills abit rusty.. David, Shaun and Zhi Hong were clocking laps like crazy, while Jason, Yu Bin, Lam, Bernard amd I were playing at one side.. just enjoying ourselves..
bathed and then it was the barbeque..

the chicken wings were nice.. marinated with garlic.. yum.. the shop only had mutton satays left so had to make do.. barbequed some mashmallows too.. crispy on the outside and soft and runny in the inside... delicious..
to end the last night off, sparklers were due..





managed to squeeze in with Gerald in the bed.. amazing.. finally had a well-deserved sleep as did the rest of us..

Friday
chalet coming to a close.. packed our stuff and savoured the memories of the past 2 days.. would probably be the last time we'll see each other before we head our separate ways.. Zhi Hong flying off to Canada on the 16th, so this was sorta farewell party for him.. checked out and took 88 home with Heng Tee and Jia Qing..
planned to go to Sitex but fell asleep till 4.. quickly bathed and changed.. thought of getting a new printer cos the current one guzzles too much ink when I print photos as it doesn't use individual ink tanks.. to my disappointment, Canon wasn't well represnted at Sitex.. only a small booth..
this week was fun.. it won't be the same without friends.. so thanks everyone!::

::THE O LEVELS ARE OVER!!
had history and chemistry for as our 2 last papers.. don't wanna talk about history or social studies.. lets just say humanities aren't my strong point.. but sciences are.. can't wait for the results to be released, it would be sure damn better than my prelim.. and to think our batch was going to have the single intake for JC.. aiming to at least half my prelim score.. anyway, took some pics with Lian Jie's cam..

didn't have a tripod with me so had to make do with Lian Jie's cam on the gallery steps.. oh yea, thats the Junior school behind us.. Shaun and Lam known each other for the longest time, since kindergarten.. I only known him since pri 2... can't believe 10 years in Montfort are up.. gonna miss the school..
hiaz.. nothing much for this holidays.. although I just finished my O levels and my brother finished his PSLE last month, still can't go overseas for a holiday.. (unlike some people who are at this very moment) my dad has some aircraft management course.. some sort of assessment involved.. such an opportunity wasted..::

::just experienced one of the few strong tropical thunderstorms to hit Singapore.. we had just finished our Physics when the sky grew dark and started to pour.. when I mean pour I mean raining cats and dogs, 清盆大雨, those kind of torrential rains..
so was stuck in school with about 20 or so of us.. was telling Zhi Hong that he'll would never experience something like this in Canada, so take in all the sounds..
flashes of lightning flashed all around us.. was telling Lian Jie to take out his phone to take some pics of the lightning, then suddenly a bolt of lightning jolted right down infront of us, hit somewhere in the direction of my house.. ya.. the rain grew heavier so we shifted from sitting at the foyer steps to further inside..

water was spluttering out of the drain.. goes to show how much water actually gets released during one of these storms.. quite fun actually, stuck with a couple of friends with such ferocity outside.. our foyer was those 2 piece roof designs so some water got in when the wind blew.. at least it was better than our primary school days, where the foyer used to flood whenever it rains..
the storm brewed outside for more than 45 mins when it finally toned down.. the recently built shelter to the bus stop was partially flooded, some of the soil also washed down from the field so it was rather muddy too.. took the bus home, although it was only 2 stops away.. there's not much shelter on the route home if I walked..
so Zhi Hong, you won't get tropical thunderstorms in Canada, this may be your last...::

::3 more days to go before its all over.. feels so sudden, that our 4 years have been up.. lotsa my friends meeting up with each other to study.. me.. just myself.. even through this important exam period, they haven't really change into the study zombies Mrs Pereira said we should.. still telling jokes and chatting before the exam, while I just sit and relax my mind, helping others if they need..
had Literature paper 2 yesterday, ended at 9.30am.. the earliest paper ever, didn't have any exams after that.. except for those who had CLB.. then went to Compass Point, haven't been to Compass Point or any other shopping centre so early.. most of the shops were closed, except for the food outlets maybe.. went to mac for a light breakfast, for me anyway... bought a hashbrown and an apple.. the cashier sounded quite suprised when I said I wanted a apple? guess people don't order apples much at mcdonalds.. Jia Qing and I just sat there and ate while Timothy and Jason were "conversing"..
Gerald came later to join us.. so the topic switched to Gerald.. something about Gerald going on a diet in Dec.. I think for some people, it's really in the genes.. don't think Gerald eats alot, think I eat more than him sometimes.. but our lifestyles differ?
well, you can say that I'm very much an active person, spend quite alot of time outside.. after my hashbrown and apple, went to Sembawang.. took 965.. found it alittle thrilling cos I had no idea where exactly the bus went.. just follow my gut instinct.. ended up alightling somewhere before Admiralty station.. been to Sembawang Sec before, so knew where it was.. so just walked there since it was rather close by.. sold my extra SD card to Raidah, then went to Sun Plaza to have some lunch..
then went to Yishun to pass my Amaths prelim paper to Jill.. she was going to school to ask some teachers some stuff.. think she would have lotsa questions from my prelim paper.. talked while we walked to her school.. not really familar with the northern region of Singapore, so Jill was acting tour-guide.. walked for quite a distance before reaching Northland, it was quite new, had a nice glass roofed foyer area.. from what I can see outside anyway..

oh yea, been compiling the pics from Leaver's Ceremony into an album.. that's page 24 of the 25 page album.. a small sneak preview.. probably would finish it after the O levels end.. then print it out and bind it nicely.. sorta coffee table book if you will..::

::3 birthdays in 2 days.. right smack in the middle of the Os, what could be more eventful than that..just taking a short break from studying.. Maths and Lit tomrrow, just need to revise some lit stuff and practice some maths after this..
Maths Paper 1 and Social Studies were on Monday.. Maths was easy, not like Mr Low's standard, where there are no "nice" numbers.. morale was greatly boosted after Maths but only to have it drop after SS? SEQ had nothing about Singapore.. nice.. at least I can still recall something about Venice, though I think I'll score more if I did a question on Singapore..
Tues nothing for us, except for Addison and Jun Feng who are taking science..
Wednesday English and also Timothy and David's birthdays.. Thursday (today), Biology and also Yu Bin's birthday.. dunno whether is it a coincidence but the birthday boys are the usual people who do very well in their respective subjects?

got for Timothy and David a photo frame, with our 2 class photos.. suppose to be the film strip design one, but didn't check the box.. went to Kovan to eat after a much better English paper.. went with Bernard and gang, had trouble finding enough seats at the food centre.. then treated myself to some gelato.. the butterscotch was nice..
went back to Hougang when Zhi Hong called me saying they want to buy something for Yu Bin's birthday tomorrow.. they were already at Hougang Mall, so went there to find them.. turns out they wanted to buy Yu Bin a can of Grow.. the milk powder for kids? found out that milk powder can be rather expensive, so Shaun suggested we get another brand instead.. ya, Shaun and his great gift ideas.. wonder how Yu Bin would react when he opens his present at home..::

this would be my last post before the exams..
went to Esplanade there to eat.. somehow, it doesn't feel like the prestigious arts centre outside.. maybe because its a public holiday and hundreds of foreign workers taking the day off there? not that I have anything against them, unlike a classmate I know..
first time walking outside of the Esplanade, been inside numerous times, performed there twice and once as an audience.. outside its a different feeling.. if it was not so crowded, it certainly would be very romantic.. just the stunning view of the CBD skyline and the river..
ate at the Glutton's Bay, pretty much like ECP food centre or chomp chomp.. noisy, smoky, busy, very much Singaporean.. if there's one place that captures the essence of Singapore, I must say this is it, with Singapore's most famous skyline as the backdrop, it's hard to beat..

took this with my K750i.. lotsa visible noise, night scenary isn't it's forte..
then went back to school today to study.. thought of going to the national library but went to school instead.. they were at Ms Ong's homeroom, the classroom next to ours.. dunno what was going on, with Yu Bin and Edison running about.. so just took out the genetics book I borrowed to read, while they were screaming their heads off.. seems that Edi had some marble pepple thing and was attack Yu Bin, then Addison? thought with his mass, the pepples would just bounce off him?? Addy took Shaun as a shield when he arrived in the room..
after a while, everything got back to normal.. the books were out and I helped Shaun (again) with his chemistry.. eventually, they started talking about Pokèmon Cards.. miss those days when we were still in pri school.. hah.. stopped playing cards in Sec 1 I think, sorta grew out of them?
went to Hougang Mall to return the library books.. thought of eating at Delifrance (BistroDelifrance now..) the butterfish looks so nice but its kinda expensive.. maybe some other day.. tried Hans outside.. $8.50 quite reasonable for the set meal they gave.. garlic bread, soup, ice lemon tea, grilled fish, salad and to top it off, a slice of honey dew.. a complete meal, a more affordable alternative to Jack's Place, although I still prefer Jack's Place for their steaks..
so, to complete my self-indulgence, bought some ice-cream from 7-11.. spent less than $10.. not bad..
so the O levels begin next Monday.. wish me luck..::

went to school for a chem mock exam today.. was this year's Sembawang sec's prelim paper.. finished it in slightly more than an hour, have not much problems with chemistry or physics.. its bio that I'm worried about.. then followed Addison and gang to Hougang Mall.. I won't say followed, cause they eventually got so caught up with themselves that they didn't notice me going off.. wanted to go eat with them, walked around to see where they could be.. then bumped into Yubin, Zhi Hong and David, the usual people I go to HM to eat with..

showed them the pic I done the night before.. looks like I caught a fairy in a bottle or something.. very mystical..
then went back to school to do some work.. got the 2002 Maths Nov paper, wasn't that hard.. cause it was afterall, O level standard.. first paper Maths, really must score well, can't afford to make careless mistakes.. funny, sometimes my A Maths better than my Maths.. maybe due to the fact that Maths Paper 1 you can't use calculators?
did half the paper only, the rest of the time was helping Shaun with his sciences.. they were talking about some chalet thing, guess everyone forgot about me again.. such a failure in my social life, its times like these that I wish I had somebody that really cares for me.. motivate me to study.. moral support if you will..
guess it's too late now.. fairies don't exist..::
