except the rather uneventful eve of the eve, the rest of CNY was quite good..
Saturday
had our reunion dinner on the eve.. though not really "reunion" in the full sense of the word since we see each other every day.. but its still a tradition...

Ingredients for a reunion dinner

Rice

Mushrooms

Veggies, Fishballs and Crabsticks

and the most important ingredient: Family

then went to Marina Bay with some of my ex-school mates to watch the fireworks.. met Lam, Bernard and Lian Jie at Hougang MRT... as we were tapping our ez-link cards.. Lam realised he forgotten to bring his wallet.. so he went back to get it and meet up with us later.. Addison, Alvin, Keck and Lam met up with us at Dhoby Ghaut.. not suprising to see Addy bring a big bag of snacks with him..
although it wasn't as crowded as the last time we were here on New Year's Eve, the traffic flow was slow.. the stalls set up there made me hungry.. anyway, made our way through to One Fullerton.. not much people there though, so we found a spot to settle quickly.. opened some chips and drinks and chatted for awhile.. this time there was space, so why not practice some firework shooting.. set up my tripod and cam.. did some practice shots on the boats passing by before the fireworks began..
and sure enough, the fireworks began on 12midnight..

wanna thank Alvin for doing the watermark for me... really appreciate it.. you can visit his blog at http://blueprint3d.blogspot.com/
the fireworks were nice.. though the impact as not as strong as when we were on the Sheare's Bridge, we had more space for ourselves.. took some more pics after the fireworks ended..

Coke and Lay's anyone?

took the MRT back at about 1something... thought of going to the 24hr HongKong Street Restaurant at Kovan, then found out it was closed.. so went back to Hougang Green's Mac.. bought a 20 piece nugget and ate.. didn't feel like 3am in the morning though.. with some other customers eating, the staff and the music, felt more like 10pm or something.. got back home at 4 and slept upon lying down in bed..

Sunday
went visitation today as we have always been doing for the 1st day of Chinese New Year.. though I've been to their houses many times, I still not quite sure what's their relation to me.. My mother's cousin's or something..
Visitation has always been quite convenient for us.. for a start, 5 or so of them live along the same street.. so its quite systematic for us.. then went to Ah Gong's house to have dinner..

Monday
a busy day at my house... probably the only day where so many people comes to my house... preparing the food and drinks, setting the tables, moving stuff.. cousins came first.. played xbox, com etc.. Joel came over to pass me the Senzoku Gakuen CDs.. ya, 6 weeks became 6 months..
the food was great, all homemade by my aunties.. didn't really do a full coverage of the event though.. but enjoyed myself more..

food!
