"A" levels result released today, so we had no school cause they have to process the results and all that.. first such "holiday"..
so decided to do a walkabout.. asked quite a few people to accompany me, but all not free.. with work, meeting with friends, going Sentosa.. so alone as usual.. first stop was Little Guilin.. took the MRT from YCK to Bukit Gombak.. was already noon by the time I got there and the sun was beating down hard.. had never been to this part of Singapore in my life, so just trusted my intuition and headed off.. before long, reached the granite formations..

other than the blazing hot sun, it doesn't feel like singapore at all.. feels more like some place in China or something.. walked back to the MRT station and bought myself a drink..took the MRT again towards Jurong East and changed to the EW line.. so after travelling like half of the system, arrived at Paya Lebar.. some F16s were flying quite low, think they're landing at Paya Lebar airbase or something.. my dad used to work there, now working at Changi Airbase.. took 43 and alighted at VJC there..
walked over the overhead bridge to East Coast Park.. quite empty compared to the weekend crowd it sees..

a hard day's work..
saw a couple of cats at where they keep the boats and stuff.. then more appeared, seems like the fishermen returned and are sharing some of their extras with the cats.. this particular cat was kind enough to just stay there and pose even though I was quite near to it..

of cats..

and dogs..
to my suprise, there was also a dog sitting nearby.. dunno whether its someone's pet or its wild cause there's nobody else there.. there were also many dog owners taking their dogs out for a walk there.. starting to sound like your primary school "A day in the park" essay huh..
for something more exciting, there was a couple of people doing wave boarding there.. (is that what they call it??) but how high can a wave in Singapore get? nonetheless, they did some awesome stunts..

nice air..
saw some vjc students jogging while on my way out.. hiaz.. wished I was in vjc.. messaged Jill whether she wanna go eat Carl's Jr since she would be working in town area and I have a pair of vouchers for that..36 to Suntec was quite fast, going along the ECP expressway.. tried the new House of the Dead 4 game at the arcade there.. harder to play with just one person though.. it was game over even before I got to the boss..
Jill had to pass something to her uncle, so had to turn me down.. then went to Harbourfront to see whether I can meet Janice.. yet another disappointment.. continued on to Labrador Park for the sunset anyhow.. 408 didn't operate on weekdays, so took the nearest bus and walked in.. and was it a long walk.. took about 15 mins to reach the park.. of course it would take less than 5 if you went in by car..

the sunset was nothing to "wah" about.. a gloomy end to the day.. was already getting dark by the time I started to walk back.. even though the path was lighted, I really didn't want it to get too dark, so hurried abit.. got back to Harbourfront and got myself a bowl of ban mian at the Seah Im food centre..
another typical day out alone..
